Safety Program

Accidents lead to inefficient operation by increasing cost and decreasing production. They can interfere with the owner's construction project and reduce company morale. But more importantly, accidents have a human cost that cannot be measured. If we at Abbott Construction are to be true to our vision statement, and "share our success with our families and our community", then there must be no room for compromise in safety. As a result, Abbott Construction expects each employee, from top management to field personnel, to take an active part in our safety program.

Our safety programs are generated and monitored by our in-house Safety Committee. At their direction, our Accident Prevention Program has been established to identify, eliminate, and control undesired and unexpected events that can result in physical harm or property damage. Our employees are required to read and study this program, learn about their roles and responsibilities, and then conscientiously work in accordance with its requirements.

We expect the highest standard of safety to be followed throughout all operations of Abbott Construction. We constantly strive to improve safety performance through the use of personal safety equipment, on-going safety training and education, and through building awareness with our employees and subcontractors about safety related issues.

Our goal is to have an accident-free workplace for both our employees and subcontractors.
