Community Health Clinic - Bothell
Bothell, WA
Abbott Construction broke ground on the 17,000-square-foot clinic, which will have 16 medical exam rooms, nine dental chairs and a pharmacy. When it opens in the summer of 2012, it will serve more than 12,000 lowincome and uninsured patients each year.
Miller Hayashi Architects designed the two-story building to target LEED gold. Some of the greenelements include FSC-certified wood, regionally sourced construction materials, and low-VOC paint, adhesives and sealants.
HealthPoint received a $6.8 million grant under the federal 2010 Affordable Care Act to help build the clinic.
Other team memebers are KPFF Consulting Engineers, structural and civil engineer; Travis Fitzmaurice & Associates, electrical engineer; The Greenbusch Group, mechanical engineer; Soil & Environmental Engineers, geotechnical engineer; and Karen Kiest Landscape Architects.
