accident Prevention Program

Accidents have a human cost that cannot be measured. Our safety programs are generated and monitored by our in-house Safety Committee. Our employees are required to read and study our Accident Prevention program, and learn about their roles and responsibilities, and then conscientiously work in accordance with its requirements.

Each new employee attends a safety training orientation prior to working on our job site. This training includes a training checklist, safety discipline policy, and a signed “Safety Policy Statement” reflecting senior management’s commitment to employee safety and loss control. Mandatory safety meetings are conducted weekly and attended by everyone on the job site. All Abbott employees also complete an in-house OSHA 30 training course targeted to the type of work we perform, taught by a certified safety instructor. Each job site has a safety information bulletin board including the OSHA 300 Summary, a site emergency plan, and a fall protection plan. Our goal is to have an accident-free workplace for both our employees and subcontractors.
